“Between stimulus and response there is a space. In that space is our power to choose our response. In our response lies our growth and our freedom.” - Viktor Frankl

About me

I believe we all have a deep wisdom and strength within us, and I love to help clients get in touch with this power. I am passionate about helping clients move past the patterns and stories that have held them back, and find a connection to their true selves. I have a gentle and compassionate style, and hold empathy and understanding for the challenges my clients are facing. I use elements of DBT, IFS, somatic experiencing, and motivational interviewing in my therapeutic approach. â€‹â€‹

I am a naturally curious person and am on a lifelong quest for knowledge and understanding. My career has taken me from a high end car dealership in Bethesda, MD after undergrad, to a decade in consulting for Deloitte in the Bay Area, California (after getting my MBA), to an MSW and a career as a therapist. â€‹â€‹

In my free time I love to spend time with my wife, our two children, and our dog, Clarke (a sweet and highly extroverted Australian labradoodle.) I love being in nature, and enjoy hiking and being outdoors whenever possible. I also love to cook and bake, and I ran my second half marathon in Oct 2024.

I am a master's level clinician practicing in Oregon as a clinical social work associate. I practice under Mary Robinson (L1355), a board-approved supervisor, pursuant to OAR 877-020-0012, at Mindful Therapy Group, P.C.
